Disney is distributing the film, and the last few Ghibli films they've carried into US theaters-- Ponyo in particular-- have made it to Pittsburgh. I'll try to keep everyone advised once I know which theater around here is going to carry it, but mark the date nonetheless.

Anime of The Borrowers made by studio Ghibli? You know its gonna be good Ghibli makes some of the animation best films. Date marked and circled.

It's pretty good, although I never read the book so I can't say whether or not the adaptation was completely faithful.

Was just talking with the other half about this last night. Both being studio g. fans I am very much looking forward to it's US release and hope that we end up getting it in a few spots in the burgh
