I've applied to do a couple of panels. I'm also supposed to be a table bunny for Spyral Eyed Studios in Artist Alley. From what I understand, I need an artist's badge to work behind her table. How will this be handled if I get a free Reg from having a panel accepted?

2/21 - I will have to check with our Artist Alley and Registration Heads to see how they'd like to handle this... I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

3/2 - Sorry, jury is still out on this one... but I wanted to confirm something really quick. Have Spyral Eyed Studios already reserved you a badge via their Artist Alley table? If so, you don't need a panelist badge. If not, I will keep trying to procure an answer for you...

Spyral Eyed Studios did not buy me a badge when she paid for her table. She emailed the AA head with the same question. I did infact have the panel "Behind the Screen: Tales and Teachings of a DM" accepted. The thing is that I need to be able to work at the Spyral Eyed Studios table and she was told I would need an Artist's Badge to do so.

Okay, so I finally got a ruling on this... your panelist badge is acceptable, to an extent. You can use it to help her work the table, but it will not give you access to Artist Alley before opening or after closing times... and you would have to enter just like any other non-artist attendee (waiting in line, etc). This means that you would not be able to help them set up or tear down.

Conversely, if you want those privileges, you would have to buy an Artist badge... but we cannot discount it even though you are a panelist.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
