Pros:
-I had fun this weekend
-There were some great panels.
-Staff was very helpful and nice as they always are.
-The manly men panel was alot of fun and I learned of some anime's that I would like to watch.
-Nice veriety of videos in the video rooms. Saw some new stuff that I would like to continue watching.
-I learned alot from the foam and plactics in cosplay panel.
-I felt that everything was well organized and everthing I went to started when it was scheduled to.
-Artist Alley had a nice turnout of vendors.
-Another year of a great dealers room.
Cons:
-I had trouble hearing anything that was in main events. Everything was just too loud to recognize.
-Parking was a nightmare. I showed up before noon on Friday and was turned away by 4 lots before I could find parking for the weekend. I understand for a large event, that parking is going to be difficult, but it almost seemed unfair for the people who couldnt afford to take off work or school from wednesday to sunday.
-Sadly, I didnt really get a good feel of the theme. There were no time travely things about this weekend besides the Dr. Who cosplays in my opinion. Maybe I just missed it, I dont know. I was hoping for some kind of panel or main event dealing with time traveling animes.
-I understand you have to make do with what you have, but Artist Alley was so cramped. I didnt feel like I could stop and really look at what some vendors had because I was getting pushed and yelled at to keep moving.
Over all though. I had an enjoyable weekend. I really appreciate all the work that everyone involved with Tekko does to put on such a huge and wonderful event. Thank you all so much for another great year!

Pros:
•Panels and main events started when stated they were going to start
•Staff was great as usual
•Alot of good artists! I also LOVED that the location of the dealers room stayed the same.
•Awesome AMVs and anime
•Was pretty fun
Cons:
•Artist Alley was VERY congested and there was hardly ANY moving space.
•The gaming room was in a horrible place this year in my opinion, I am a HUGE gamer, but because of the location I hardly went, plus I did not see any shooting games, as well as most of the games were taken because there was only a few rooms with 2-3 consoles in it...
•Just as last year, elevators were cramped. People would shove everyone into walls. Seriously... If your rear is a tad bigger... dont think you can fit into that wee little space and crush everyone else... That... That just isn't fair.

Fashion show was fun this year~

Pros
-Water buffaloes were always full and there were always plastic cups
-I know other people had issues with hotel staff, but I had wonderful experiences with them myself. Then again, I wasn't staying in the hotel
-Good job making the best of the situation, AA staff
-Panels Staff did a great job and addressed any issues I had with politeness and honesty
-Much better job at crowd control around the stairs and elevator
-David Fielding is the first guest Tekko has had that I actually went to see. I got to meet him in person and he is a very nice man.
Neutral
-The half hour break between panels. As a panelist I loved them and they made it easy to get from one panel to the other. However, it often made it seem like there was nothing going on when I would look at the schedule
Negative
-Why wasn't Travis Willingham given a bio in the program book like all of the other guests? Someone suggested it was because he was a late addition, however he is mentioned by name in the guest panelists.
-I was not staff, but I did sign up to help with tear down. I go there at the time and wait a half an hour and no one shows up. Unless, I completely misremembered where I signed up to help, I wasn't happy.
-If you are going to show fansubs in the video rooms, then have the video higher. The fansubs were at the very bottom of the screen and even sitting in the second row I couldn't read them because the young lady in front of me was... well just sitting in front of me.
-I was also disappointed in how the time travel theme was used. I saw... a little bit of the Girl Who Leapt Through Time and a lot of Doctor Who. What about Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Sailor Moon R, Madoka Magica, Power Rangers Time Force, Millennium Actress, Devil Hunter Yohko (part 5 I believe), Higarashi When they Cry, etc?

+) Computer viewing is the only method kept in mind when subtitles are fansubs are made in almost every group. Overscan isn't accounted for, and projector viewing is definitely not accounted for. There have been times where even I have complained about how low the subtitles are, but such comments are rarely addressed/accommodated for.
+) Raising the video will only do so much. Subs are still encoded too close to the bottom of the video, so really, you'd have to be a few inches taller than the person in front of you, sit in the front, or sit along the center aisle. :/
Not very constructive comments (especially because I'm not involved with the video selections at all), but just my two cents based on personal experience.

I am well aware that fansubs are made to be seen on the computer and that they usually do not account for things such as overscan. I am also aware that hardsubs make more sense for the con to use as it reduces chances of something going wrong. But when I can't read what is going on when I am sitting in the aisle seat, second row and the girl in front of me is shorter than me, then I feel I have every right to complain. If the con can't display the series in such a way that only the people in the first row can read the subs, then what is the point of playing them?

-The con atmosphere was laid back and comfortable. Even on hectic days like Saturday.
-The staff were helpful and friendly.
-I really liked the pokemon panel. =3
-I actually enjoyed the video game floor. Spreading everything out seemed to eliminate con funk. And I actually got to play a few games, which never seems to happen in a giant game room.
-Concerts seemed to be handled better this year than previous years. But I can't place my finger on why.
-Art Show was really awesome this year. There were so many cool pieces this year.
-The con being close to restaurants is always a major plus.
-Nice selection of anime playing.
-Being able to pick on ones badge a day early was fantastic. I hope something like the Wednesday night Hollywood event happens again next year.
Cons
-There just didn't seem to be enough content for four days. The panels just seemed too few and far in-between. (Not that I applied for a panel this year. So I can't complain too much.) And way to often there just seemed to be nothing going on.
-Cramped artist alley. But there doesn't sound like it could've been helped.
-Main events audio seemed too loud. But I have sensitive ears so that was probably something that just bothered me.
-That tiny stairwell is scary. What if there was a fire? I think people really could get hurt. But that's purely Wyndham Grand's problem.
Overall it was a good year.

A good number of different panels that had VARIETY than just "OMG you like Yu-Gi-Oh? So do we!" panels. How to survive a con chibi edition(Don't I have a kid but it was still useful if I get married and have one lol), How the Anime Industry is Failing, More of What The Simpsons Can Teach Us About Japan, Visual Novel panels, etc. Hopefully I can flesh out a good panel for next year or Sangawa since some of the panels gave me ideas.
Good/Better Staff. It seems like the staffers care about the con a little bit more than in previous years(not saying that they were bad previous years). It's good that there's helpful staff and that some of them have some compassion for the con-goer. (The guy and the girl that were taking care of traffic control of the stairs on Saturday evening/night were awesome)
The anime open mic night on Friday was one of the most under appreciated events of the con this year but it was a good and fun event. I hope some more talented anime fans will go on the stage next year! (Maybe one of the guest voice actors or artists next year will make a surprise appearance next year and do a skit or karaoke that would be cool)
One plus to having the hotel compared to the convention center was that the dealers are able to sell Japanese snack items which is great. So much ramune, hello panda and pocky was bought by me this weekend. Thanks Anime Fan Zone(I think it was them could be wrong lol)!
Pretty nice Artist Alley and Dealers Room as far the actual vendors that were there.
Oh and meeting current con chair Jim Gogal having a chat with him! Seems like he is working hard as heck to provide the best con experience for everyone and is very vocal about the con and interests so hats off to you!
Cons
The schedule. I always complain about this but is it possible to have a schedule for all of the event on all the days of the con online before the con or at least have a page or two when we get to the con? I know some people's schedules fluctuates and stuff but if there's last minute changes can't they be posted at the info desk and reg-pre area?
Getting a more relevant theme for next year. I'm not saying this year's theme sucked but it seemed like either it wasn't being represented enough or something(More time traveling anime and video games would be good ex. Chrono Trigger, Radiant Historia, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Madoka Magica, Sailor Moon, etc.). I had friends ask me what theme was for this year I didn't know the answer until Saturday lol.
And the comments that Penguinton for the cons side because I agree with most of them minus the sound in the Main Events but I'm too lazy to copy and paste her comments.

-Crowd control! I believe the main staff member manning the stairs was the same gentleman who very politely cut the line when I was waiting for Steve Blum's autograph last year. He was very courteous when cutting that line last year, and he was likewise very courteous this year when directing stair traffic.
-Panel staff! I was told there were only three people in the entire panels department. Wow. That's a ton of work for 3 people. All of my tech things for panels were resolved quickly and before my panel started. They were very easy to work with, and very helpful when the panel before mine had massive tech issues and started half an hour late.
-Moving panel rooms away from the main hallway on the first floor. That greatly helped with traffic this year.
-AA line. It moved quickly, and was about the only way to deal with the small space.
-Tekko staff in general.
-Dan smoothly buying judges more time during the Dance Competition
-The Dance Competition! The opening with all the dancers was great!
-Masquerade ran COMPLETELY on time!
Cons:
-Main Events Tech Sunday morning. My panel was at 12:30PM and not at 9AM, but if it had been... I would have a much more vehement complaint. The staff members that were there were all very courteous, though.
-Gameshow on Thursday night was a bit disorganized.
-Not having printed schedules right away. I didn't print the one online in case there were any last minute changes, but then I was just out of luck on Thursday.
-Elevators were tiny.
On the whole, not too much negative stuff. We don't fit in the space, mainly AA and the staircase, but since we're not returning to the Wyndham, those complaints don't really matter anymore. I dearly hope we will be able to return to the DLLCC and the Westin, and I pledge to get a hotel room right here and now. That space was so lovely.

Pros.
Dealer room was good.
Got to meet the voice actors for the Saturday morning autograph signing. My wife has been wanting to beet Travis and he was very nice to her.
Con attendees were generally well behaved and courteous. Only negative I can say there is that people talked too loudly while waiting in line outside of rooms while panels were going on.
Cons.
Hotel is not large enough. The two years that I attended the Lawrence Center were both more enjoyable than the last two. Too many lines and too much crowding as a result. I would love to see the con moved back to the Lawrence Center. Failing that I'd like to see it moved out of downtown Pittsburgh.
The autograph signing was at 11 am on Saturday. We live over two hours away. We stayed over Saturday night but not Friday night due to cost. Since we missed out on Steve Blum's autograph last year after waiting for two hours we knew better this year and got there very early. If we hadn't though we would have been screwed again. Autograph signing on Sunday was at 2 pm I believe. By then we were out of there. I'd rather see a later signing on Saturday and an earlier signing on Sunday.
One hour per signing is not enough. I just attended Steel City Con last month. Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) is no Spring chicken. However he was there from 10-6 signing autographs and took pictures with anyone who wanted them. He was paid per autograph so yes he had incentive to stay all that time but nonetheless the amount of time given for the voice actors is not enough. I'm sure it isn't cheap to get the voice actors in there. They are one of the main reasons to attend a con. When they come at least make sure to do things right. Two years in a row now it feels to me like these signings have been botched.
Room for signings was too small yet again. Staff did not start forming a line until after 10 am. Fortunately we already pretty much had formed one ourselves. The people attending the panel before the signing have no shot at an autograph unless they have a Premium Pass.
Speaking of Premium Passes I just find them annoying in general. I can see letting those folks in a few minutes early to the dealer's room but a half hour seems like a bit much. On Sunday there was yet another long line outside the dealer's room while a few people with premium passes were inside. We opted not to wait and instead just decided to leave. Unfortunately, premium passes almost feel like a necessity at Tekko due to the lack of organization.
The only other anime con I attend is Setsucon in State College. The only negative I can ever say about it is that I wish the dealer room had more vendors. Organization-wise it is much better than Tekko.
ps...one more thing...guys should have to wear shirts.

My major negative was that tech no-showed for my panel Sunday Morning in Main Events, despite spending a good half-hour or so the day before discussing how the tech was going to work.

Pros
+ Con staff. I've never had a problem with con staff here, and I'm glad to see they're still just as awesome!
+ Panel room shifting from main walkways.
+ Masquerade being on time
+ Variety in things to do
+ A first aid kit! You have no idea how happy this makes me after the nightmare that was AnimeNEXT.
+The parking. Why in the world is this on here? Because oh god, I paid $20 for the entire weekend! That was a definite pro to me! For anyone who is :/ about parking costs, screw the hotel parking and use a garage! If you've got an Android or iPhone, download the Best Parking app. It's a life-and-moneysaver, really!
+ Premium badges finally being used properly! I save like mad and buy it to get into what I want to do early, so I'm happy to see them getting used as they should have been!
Cons
- Venue size. Not Tekko's fault, though!
- Attendees waiting in line on Saturday for Todd & Travis' autographs. For the love of god, when a staffer tells you to keep voices down, that does not mean "wait until they leave and increase the volume". Courtesy and respect, people. HAVE AND SHOW SOME.
- Ignorant attendees in lines and hallways complaining about Premium badges. Either buy one yourself (some of us save for a long time to afford it!) or shut up! They paid for the right to get in early, you didn't. Do you whine about people who get VIP seating and handicap passes too? UGH!
- Dealer's Room line on Sunday. There were Premium mixed in with General, and a staffer who stood around without trying to separate the two and maybe explain to the people in line about the half hour early for Premium thing. Had said staffer properly done their job, they'd have not only NOT waited until someone else showed up and left them to explain, but would have already had the situation under control so that people didn't get fed up after having waited around for so long with GA only to be told "You can't get in for another half hour".
Solution to last negative? Maybe put on the schedule (or wherever hours are posted) something like "X time, Dealer's room opens (P) ; X time, Dealer's room opens (GA)" That way, by just glancing at the schedule, one can see that the times are clear and not end up waiting around for something only to be told they've got to wait even longer because something wasn't really spelled out. I had a Premium, so people might say I shouldn't be complaining about that, but there's no reason the attendees should be playing 20 questions with a staffer just to figure out what time they can get in or what line they should be in. Even if times are posted by the door in bold letters, that'd still be an improvement and would help with the complaints later!
All this aside, I am still left with all the happy and none of the RAGE! that other cons can leave me with, so Tekkoshocon X = SUCCESS!
[EDIT] Adding a Pro: + No memes! Not once did I hear "Buttscratcher", "I lost the Game", or anything of the sort! IT WAS WONDERFUL! THANK YOU ALL!

PROS:
-Improvs! Oh God, this has to go at the very top of the list for being not just the high point for my experience, but also for my growing "career" as a host and funny person at the show itself. It was unbelievable to get to host in main events, and even more so to be on the stage with Uncle Yo and David Fielding, who are already two of the nicest people in existence =D And I've heard so much good feedback about the show that we all can't wait for a chance to do it again.
-Dealers room. Not really the focal point of my existence at a convention, as it is, but I do occasionally find some stuff that seems worth my money. I have to thank the awesome DVD vendor for having beyond-reasonably-priced merchandise, and helping me add even more to an already overflowing collection of media.
-Panels! Admittedly, I didn't get to go, or stay, for as many as I would've wanted, but the ones I did attend were informative, well-prepared, and downright hilarious. I don't think I've laughed so hard in years, particularly with the "You Rolled a What?!" and "Dirty Old Men" crews =D And I would be remiss if I didn't thank the people who came to my own hosted events, and ESPECIALLY the people who came and stayed for both of them! Seriously, words cannot begin to express how much love I have for you people =D
-Games. I wasn't too put off by the fourth floor as a whole, and I had to say I loved the selections for board games as well as video ones - hell, I got to bond with a fellow panelist over several friendly and awesome rounds of Burnout on the XBox, so I certainly can't complain =)
-Febreeze. I'm torn between this and the hand sanitizer as the greatest contribution by man to conventions everywhere.
-Tekkoshodown. I love metagame stuff like this, and it was an interesting enough excuse to meet up with people and group together, if for no other reason than to take down monsters for delicious XPs. Admittedly, I didn't get to too high of a level, but that was the fault of me trying to be a solo hero and play against type a little. I'm down for monstrousness next year =)
CONS
-Thursday. Just Thursday as a whole had me really bummed out, even as it led to another host duty in Main Events. Most everything from Kit's game show through the open mic was a train wreck, mostly because the directive we had all been given was "go up there and be entertaining!" If nothing else, it taught the lesson that preparation is key for any sort of public address venture, which admittedly was what made Friday and Saturday go so very, very smoothly, but all the same must be said.
-Attendee immaturity. I'm not going to say that any sort of hotel staff horror story is justified, but I will say that sometimes congoers can go out of their way to make people not like us. On one occasion at least, I found myself in an elevator where every single button had been pressed for the higher floors. This is not only not funny, it's also part of the reason why people have to wait so long for elevators. The other reason being people will call for a car going down, and get onto a car that stops on the floor for whatever reason....meaning the car still stops at the original floor where the call button was pushed. It's just an unnecessary delay that keeps EVERYONE waiting, and getting more miffed.
Following this point, I'm not sure I can blame the previous panel occupants for this one, but it needs to be said. I spent the majority of my prep time for my Improv panel on Saturday picking up garbage that had been left behind by attendees, including plastic drink bottles, scrap paper, tissues, candy wrappers, and one rolled up McDonald's bag with the remains of someone's lunch in it. I know it seemed like trash cans were really scarce on the floor, but they did exist, and there's no excuse to leave THAT much crap in a space that other people have to use, and already irritated hotel staff have to clean.
-Sunday morning. I'm not sure who or what is worthy of blame here, but I'm very sad that the game show had the problems it had =(
After this year, however, I have two things fixed in my mind: the first is the possibility of volunteering as a staffer, if only to give myself a little more legitimacy than a mere panelist with performance perks (say THAT ten times fast =p), and/or definitely looking into renting more room space, to give the convention more pull with future hotels, and help us all get the space that we REALLY want next year.
Thanks for the memories, Tekko =)

Pros:
- Again, amazing congoers who were cooperative and great throughout the convention. You guys are great
- Helpful public safety and staff who aided us with rather unruly hotel guests
- The guests and bands. Just all around amazing.
- The games. I LOVED the gamerooms. We had to deal with what we had but it was still pretty fun
- The panels, though I didn't see as many as I would have liked, I was still entertained by the ones I saw. Informative and incredibly enjoyable
- The improv...dear god...my gut exploded from laughter
Cons:
- Hotel guests, on the whole, were rather rude and pushy. Just because you stay at the hotel does not mean you are allowed to view the con as an attendee. Yes, we do abide by the hotel rules but we are NOT the hotel. We are our own separate entity and hotel room does not equal free show
- Hotel staff. Now I know there were quite a few of great staffers who were helpful. I met some of them and they were great. But there were quite a lot who were rude to us and our attendees. I was head of AA last year, mostly due to last minute changes, and my biggest complaints were connected to lack of hotel assistance. I pretty much gave up trying to get anything from them because no one seemed to want to help us. I am very glad we are not going back next year
- Small space...again thanks to the hotel.
Not many complaints for me. I had a blast aside from the nitpicking stuff. It was fun staffing and I hope to do it more. Thanks again to everyone for a great time!!!

Pros:
-Staff was very friendly, informative, and a huge help.
-While the game room this year wasn't as big or great as last year, the thing I liked best about it was talking to people more up close instead of shouting over the noise.
-The panels and anime shown were great, better than last year I thought. Kevin from Harmony gold hosted two panels, and he was a very interesting and nice guy.
Cons:
-Small gameroom space, selection of games wasn't really to my liking.
-Con smell. I know this is a convention, but people, at least try and bathe and put on some deodarant!
-No import games at dealers room. This is only a small nitpick. I was surprised and dissapointed to not find any JAP games there at all.
Overall, It was a great experince, and I'm looking forward to next year!

-The venue, quite obviously, sucked. Of course it's clear by now to everyone that we can't stay there.
-The game room was not too good. There was no air to breathe in those cramped rooms, although having Neo Turf Masters was a plus.
Pros:
-I personally thought staff was excellent. Everyone I saw was nice to the attendees and willing to help. Jeanie even really seemed concerned about how my panel went. That made me feel warm inside, like staff was on my side.
-There was a whole lot more of a relaxed atmosphere this year, unlike the uptight feeling I got last year.
-The "Ask a Nation" panel, while in too small of a room, was free of offensive questions, and very enjoyable.
I was impressed by the con this year, as everyone did their best to work around the poor venue. Lots of the problems from last year were no more this year. I may not be able to go to future Tekkos given that I'm going to grad school. But this was a great five-year run for me. If I can't go, I'll miss our March Madness tradition. Best of luck to all of you in the future!

-Dealers Room had a bunch of awesome crap and I bought a lot of sweet loot (and grab bags are my favorite)
-(Super props to Zombie Buddy Productions, the dude there was super cool and I kept buying different color lenses for my new goggles. :])
-Artist Alley had a ton of cool stuff! Especially the Fourth Doctor print I got from Interrobang Studios and the super rad Vinyl Scratch hat from Nightengale Needles.
-Staff was really nice and rad
-The panels I went to were neat and interesting
-I only got to see Mega Ran, but he was great!
-TekkoshoDown was a BLAST
-I think the stairs were actually better this year
-Travis Willingham signed my Knuckles!!
Cons:
-Really crowded (venue problem mostly)
-Some people were really loud
-Lines could be pretty confusing
-Some of the staff didn't seem to exactly be on the same page as each other
-Sometimes I felt really bad at the artist alley when I saw cool stuff but didn't buy it because it wasn't stuff I'm into
(but that's my problem, haha)
Overall it was a really great time and I enjoyed it! This was my second time going, and while I was too busy conventioning to take too many pictures, it was a blast. Can't wait to see what happens next.

1. The same song was used multiple times (Warrior - 2x, Before the Dawn - 2x, I Am The Best - 3x) is completely ridiculous to allow.
2. Two of the groups that were doing 2NE1's I Am The Best were scheduled to go back to back, and the worst part is that no on realized this until the first act had already finished.
3. There was no 2nd or 3rd places. Only 1st and pity prizes ("Captain America LOL").
4. A professional scoring sheet used by professional dance judges was used by judges that didn't know what they were doing and were literally pulled off the floor minutes before the competition started.
5. Individual and group acts were scored using the same exact criteria, despite the fact that a single act doesn't have to synchronize with anyone else, unlike in a group of dancers.
6. If you're going to judge the dance based on how close it is to the original dance, you should at least have some familiarity with the original dance.
7. Best In Show cannot be a popularity contest by pulling two groups on stage and asking the audience to choose who was better. Naturally, the one that has more friends in the audience is going to be the one who wins.
8. A group being considered for Best In Show should be judged based primarily on their dance, not the fact that "their outfits were shiny".
9. If creative freedoms, such as backflips, are considered to be original choreography while otherwise following the dances in the mash-up, while on the other hand, ignoring shushing motions and random jumping that is not in the original dance creates a double standard.

I went to the dance for the first time. It was my first techno-y dance I've ever gone to actually. Maybe this was just me not knowing about it, but I was expecting there to be more of a selection of remixed anime and videogame songs set to lights. Dont get me wrong, I had a great time there and the music was fun, but I guess I was hoping it to be more otaku related.
