ANN is reporting that venerable voice actor Takeshi Aono has died of complications from an aneurysm at age 76.  In addition to his numerous roles in anime, Mr. Aono was also a prolific dubber of foreign films and shows; he was the traditional dubber for Joe Pesci's voice in feature films, and was also the voice of the Joker for the Japanese dub of Batman: The Animated Series.  His absence will be greatly felt in the voice acting community, and among fans on both sides of the Pacific he will be keenly missed.
