Greetings, just wanted to drop by and say hi to folks.

Just started getting back into anime, watched a lot when I was younger, and yes I know these are really old. :) But grew up watching(using the English version names, since thats what I watched) G-Force, Star Blazers, Mobile Suit Gundam, Robotech, Macross, Voltron.

Going to eventually find the originals of these with english subtitles, but what I have seen so far since starting to watch again, Rin, High School of the Dead, Sekerei, Corpse Princess, Demon King Daimyo, Elven Lied, Angel Beats, and currently watching Rosario + Vampire. Yeah I know, its all I guess whats called Harem Anime, but its what first showed up in my anime que on Netflix. :) Have tons of other anime thats on my to do list.

Have registered for Sangawa Project, will be my first anime con. Have gone to other cons before, but none for just anime, and will be going to DragonCon also this year.

My friends normally call me Finn, from my other main hobby I do, so it just kind of stuck.

Havent tried Cosplay yet, will probably go to Sangawa, and observe, then come up with ideas for my next con.

Question I have, is this one of the main forums and such for the Pittsburgh area, or is there another one, and this is mainly for Tekkoshocon, and the other cons for here? Still will be here, but if there is a main forum also for anime fans(Otaku), would like to find that also.

Thanks and looking forward to meeting folks in my area.

Finn

Finn,

These forums cover all three Pittsburgh shows - Tekko, Sangawa Project, and KuriKiiro Festival :) There may be other boards, but this will be a good place for you to get event/ meetup information, or just to meet other local fans

Sangawa is actually a good place to start. It's a laid back show, and we have a lot of fun :)

Don't worry about having spent time out of the loop, people will be happy to recommended stuff to you... and don't worry too much about cosplay, just do what makes you feel comfortable :)
