Hiya~ I'm Lena and I sometimes go by the name Kiyo :3 I've been an anime lover for a very long time. I can't wait to attend the next Tekkoshocon and I'll be 18 by then so I'll get to see everything \o/ I've always wanted to go to a convention but always been kind of nervous too and never really knew too much about them. Umm I like a lot of different anime. I like action, slice of life, horror/gore, yaoi/shounen-ai, comedy, and friendship. I'm not too big a fan of romance but I don't mind them sometimes. I'm also really into the Japanese culture, such as the music, art, buildings, and the daily life there. I'm also a fan of Otome games. Well that's about all I can think of to really introduce myself ^.^' Any questions just ask?
Hello~ :3

welcome. we are glad to have you
no need to be nervous about conventions. weirdness and silliness are perfectly acceptable. 99.999% of all attendees are super nice and really helpful. that 0.001% is so few and far between its not even worth mentioning
Its a great place to meet new people find some old friends or even love interests! (my wife got me involved in the con scene and it really brought us together). Meeting voice actors, seeing them with their "hair down". You can learn and be entertained at the panels that people work on and prepare for these conventions.

There's nothing to be nervous about an anime con. Most people are pretty nice but if you feel uncomfortable it ask some friends that like anime to come to tekko with you so that way you have people you feel comfortable with around you. Plus it's kind of easy to make friends at Tekko since there is a large group of people there and all them have various interests!
