So now that we have dates and a location, what are people planning for next year?

We'll definitely have some photoshoots again as well!

I'm hoping i can go as john egbert either in god tier or in his regular outfit. Any advice would be really helpful though since I'm still new to cosplaying.

I would suggest buying an official Breath T-Shirt. Then, find a tutorial on deviantArt or Tumblr on how to make the hood. Dark blue sweatpants could work for the pants. Buy white Vans and paint the bottom blue and the rest yellow. I hope this will help with God Tier John. :3
You can find a wig in the Strip District if needed. And glasses you can find anywhere. :3

The only thing I would add to that is that the official T-shirts are the wrong color for canon shirt colors. The T-shirts are all the hood colors, the hoodies are the actual shirt colors. You can get a shirt at Michael's or Joann fabrics that is the lighter blue and then print out a stencil. There is a template here: http://i.imgur.com/5OwYY.png for the actual symbol that you can resize and print out. Then you can paint the symbol on with fabric paint.

And I reeeeaaaaally want to get into the photoshoot this year. I missed it last year. :c

Thank you both for the helpful advice. nwn I'm also looking for costume patterns to try to make a Wayward Vagabound cosplay. What would you think would be a good pattern to use?

I'll be going as God Tier Karkat again, and hopefully I'll have my Kanaya cosplay done for Tekko (though I'm aiming for K-Fest). I might also do dreamer Karkat with me friend as dreamer Eridan (the same friend might also do a Rose with my Kanaya). So a lot of Homestuck for me this year! c:

I shall be attending as the Sufferer/ Signless and Karkat, both in the same day. I dunno for what day yet, but I'm hoping it'll be a day that there will be a photoshoot.

I'm going to be Jade in either her  blue dress or god teir on Sunday with the rest of the Beta Kids.
and I'm not sure if were still doing trolls on Saturday or not but if so I'll be either Nepita or Meulin.

I will for certain be Vriska for Saturday. I still have no clue who I'm being for Friday....maaaayyybbbbeeee Kankri? Nepeta? Someone from another series? It just depends on what all photoshoots are going to be planned for Friday.

its Stressful enough to not have to hunt down all the Horn blowers and ask them to not do it T_T
Alot of complaints were made last year so I thought Id try to keep the peace the best I can by asking here and asking for each of you to kindly remind your horn blower homestuckians the same thing <3

Yeah guys, no honking horns and if any Kankris have whistles please don't blow them.

That said, we're getting closer to the con so I'd like to know if people would like to do one or two photoshoots this year. Either way, times I'm thinking of are Friday at 6:12 and/or Saturday at 4:13. Not sure where we'll hold the shoot, I'd like to get an idea of what areas of the convention center Tekko has because that astroturf area off the third floor would be really nice. I'll post a tentative shoot list in a bit and we'll get the ball rolling on this. Judging by the sizes of some of the photoshoots I've seen at other cons in the past few months there will probably be a lot more of us this year.

Personally I like the Northern Terrance because its outside, but I don't remember how big it is. It might be good for a smaller shoot. c:

Hi! So, I'm going to Tekkoshocon as Sollux this year! I saw this post and I got all excited! XD It's great to know that other Homestuck(Ers?) are going to be there! I'll also be going with an Aradia and Feferi! 38D

My Dolorosa cosplay...um...did not get put together because of Real Life and Adult Responsibilities and *cough* Laziness *cough* but I might put a Jane cosplay together. If not, have any of you seen "fandomstuck" on tumblr? I think I might go as the Homestuck fandom. The Homestuck fandom will be me. It's about the only two cosplays I can throw together rather quickly and cheaply.

I think the rooftop area would be a good place for a small to medium sized photoshoot. If it gets as big as it did last Tekko, then what about the area down near the water? If you walk down that little pathway with the waterfall on it, it leads out to the...docks I think? I'm terrible at explaining, but that's the only 'big' sized area around the convention center I can think of. Unless you all wanna walk a few blocks to Point Park

Point Park is great for big photoshoots with lots of open space. But it's about a 15-20 minute walk from the convention center (closer to 15 I think). If people are willing to walk there it'd be a great spot. But it also depends on the weather. April showers bring May flowers, but they do not make for happy outside photoshoots. So if we do decide to have an outside shoot (either to roof or the park/dock area), we should definately have a backup place for the shoot. There's lots of room inside the actual convention center, so all we'd have to do is find the most out of everyone else's way spot and set up camp there. :33

Also, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a Homestuck Draw Party Friday/Saturday? I'm not sure if there was one last year, but I know Ohayocon had one that went pretty well. Just thought I'd ask~
