Tekkoshocon Weapon and Prop Policy 2008

1. All props must be brought to the Public Safety office for inspection. Props that pass inspection will be parked with a piece of masking tape to signify that they have been deemed safe.

2. No live steel. Anything even capable of holding an edge will not be permitted in the convention space.

3. Props should be made of relatively safe materials, such as soft wood, plastic, Plexiglas, paper mache, fiberglass or foam.

4. Replica guns MUST have an orange safety tip.

5. Do NOT spar/mock duel in the convention/hotel space.

6. If you purchase a sword/knife in the dealer's room, please take it DIRECTLY to you room or car.

7. Tekkoshocon has implementing a 2-strikes system for most prop based offences. If you are found in violation of the weapons and prop policy, you will be informed by the staff and asked to refrain from such behavior in the future. A second offense will result in your prop being confiscated for the remainder of the convention.
